It was and still is a excellent film in my eyes and not because of the name.
The Mrs doesn't like the line something like "You have to feel sorry for the Doreen's of this world"
John

"My lovely car now sold onto a very happy new owner.
I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Ah it's good to know I'm not the only one :)

Did you know the origin of the film? it was very loosely inspired by a gangland killing in Co Durham back in January '67 when local playboy & slot machine emptier Angus Sibett was found shot dead in the back seat of his Mk10 Jag in the little pit village of South Hetton....it's always been known as the "one armed bandit killing" or the "slot machine murder"

Rubbish

Nice tour around, feel like I've been there after watching the film so many times, very evocative. The car park has gone to a better place now hasn't it?

Nope it's still there for all to see though it's now completely closed..................they were still using the lower 4 or 5 levels but the structure was deemed too dangerous to continue using. The rooftop restaurant (that strange pod with the big windows) was never actually finished & still had lots of kitchen fittings etc. lying around unfitted. It was abandoned when they realised you couldn't get a fire engine up there apparantly

Thanks, Dave, for translating.

I had a look at the pictures meanwhile. Some nice ones, but I haven't seen any of these places.
