ROFLMFAO - now why isn't that in the list???


Slightly outside the normal language that is preferred on here I think. ;)

Update on this now folks.

First instance of an acronym in a thread is translated into the full description. Each instance thereafter is left intact bar a little mouse-hover box should you hover your mouse over the acronym. Some acronyms may now also feature clickable links to sources either on this website or on third-party websites for further reading on a particular subject. Any suggested links for further reading will be vetted by the admin team before being inserted into the acronyms database. Thanks :)

In my job ETOPS rated airliners.....777 etc...it means EXTENDED TWIN ENGINED OPERATIONS................we prefer to think along the lines of:

ENGINES TURNING OR PASSENGERS SWIMMING!!!!!!!!!!!


as for cars..........LOTUS.....loads of trouble,usually serious.......sorry,getting side tracked.P.
