Chap in Court today for a public order offence and assault PC. He pleaded guilty but in mitigation said that he'd lost his temper because the Police weren't "aggressive" enough in dealing with a small gang of rowdy youths, so he decided to take his frustrations out on one of the attending Police officers.
"You can understand my client's frustration Your Worships. He pays his taxes and expects a service from the Police." said his advocate.
We decided to fine him as he had no previous convictions and asked about his means... only to be told he was on benefits.
