Not from my Court but a tale which was doing the rounds of the Magistrates' common room this morning.
A youth had been charged with GBH without intent whilst on a school camping trip in the Lake District.
GBH without intent is the less serious of the GBH charges where the resulting injuries are beyond what the defendant intended.
Unfortunately, as both youths had been camping by one of the lakes, the legal advisor rephrased the charge (after the defendant had left the Court) as... GBH without intent within tent... geddit?
