Updated 12th July - hope to rationalise these figures on a monthly basis soon. Yertiz has kindly provided the stats in graphical form.

(A few weeks ago I started keeping a record of the number of cars for sale on Ebay - really just to see if supply is increasing/decreasing or standing still. Eventually, as more cars are scrapped, supply has to fall - and possibly then some of the silly prices being paid for certain "must have" accessories may start to fall too. Have tried to break it down to year of manufacture - but I'm not making any attempt to log prices or different models though!

Nothing too scientific about this research - I just copy the totals from Ebay at roughly the same time on a Monday evening, using "Rover 75" in the search engine and without including the Title & Description button. I realise this may prove to be a totally useless bit of research - only time will tell). If it takes shape maybe we/someone will start a similar thread for ZTs). SO:

This is interesting stuff approx 600 75s for sale at the same time then think about how many people arnt selling and you still have thank god a healthy number of 75s left

Interesting stuff - really needs a line chart to show trends.

Another statistic that would be interesting would be % of a years production for sale, i.e. x produced in a particular year and y of that year for sale:

(y/x)%
Paul

That apart Mrs Lincoln, did you enjoy the play

I sincerely hope I encourage others to get stuck in!! Maybe that can wait a month of two and the statistics could be repackaged on a monthly instead of a weekly basis. I just have a thing about Cowley built or Cowley spec cars (ie up to 2001) which will generally be quite a bit cheaper because of their age. But they are obviously becoming rarer - find one in good nick and I say well worth a punt. Trouble is, diesel models are generally very high mileage - as you would expect of a car that is such a pleasure but cheap to drive.

Hi, I think you may be right about duplication, there would be no way of checking which are which.
This is by no means a definitive list, it would be impossible to do for us meer mortals!

However, Robert (Bartonrover) has spent a lot of time sifting through all the info and it does give people an idea of what is available out there and he deserves a pat on the back for his efforts, in my opinion.

Of course there are many sources of info around but to try and collate all of it would take one man's lifetime! this is a guide only ;)
To my knowledge, this info has only been posted on the Community and nowhere else either
