1.8 Litre K-Series Powertrain powered derivatives? OK as a none mechanic just what does that mean? I understand the k series is the engine but as for the rest of it I don't have a clue.

Engine manufacturer = Powertrain
1.8 Litre = obvious
K series = Engine type.

Powertrain being the engine manufacturing arm of Rover and latterly MG Rover. The K series petrol engine started as a 4 cylinder 1.4 and then on to 1.6 and the 1.8 as used in the 75 and ZT. A 2.0 litre V6 version and the last in the K series being the superb 2.5 litre V6 in the Rover 75 and MG ZT.
The 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 were also used in Rover 200 / 25, Rover 400 /45 and the MG styled equivalents.
